Project Title
Brachial Plexus Surgery Model Kit
Design Challenge
The Brachial Plexus is a network of nerves responsible for movements in the shoulder and elbow that can be injured in infants during childbirth, leading to long-term movement issues. Treatment options include intricate surgery, which can be confusing and stressful for parents of affected children. B Plex will design and create a training model kit to help Texas Children's Hospital surgeons and physical therapists explain the injury and possible surgical procedures to parents and clinicians.
