The laser can cut up to 1/2" thick material, and can also be used to engrave on the following materials: wood, paper, carboard, polyfilm, acrylic, leather, melamine. It CANNOT cut metal, glass or crystal. We have a limited availability of a variety of materials, including acrylic, balsa wood, and lucite that you can use. If you are unsure whether your material can be cut, talk to Carlos Amaro.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CUT ANYTHING WITH PVC.
There is no cost to use the laser cutters for OEDK registered design teams.
