Introduction to Arduino Prototyping

Learn the basics of programming an Arduino - a popular open-source electronics prototyping platform. In this Intro-level Fabrication Workshop, attendees will be taught how to use an Arduino to gather data from the environment and send output controls to simple devices. These skills will then be practiced on provided Arduino boards to build working projects of varying difficulties.

Students should download and install the Arduino interface onto their laptop prior to the workshop, and bring their laptop with the installed software. Instructions to do this can be found at http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software under the Arduino 1.0.5 section.

Students with Macs should also download the 2.2.18 VCP driver from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
