5th Annual Elevator Pitch Competition with Rice Alliance and the Brown School of Engineering -- held in the Shell Auditorium at the Jones School at Rice

This competition will include engineering design project teams, as well as independent design project ideas from the Engineering School at Rice University and across the campus. Teams/Individuals will present 90-second pitches for their projects. The pitches will describe the designs, the problem or need being solved, the competitive advantages, and the commercial potential of the devices and other products. The top 6-8 teams will win cash prizes based on the judges’ scores. We anticipate awarding about $5,000 in cash prizes.

JUDGES NEEDED 

As a judge, you will first judge and score all 90-second pitches. Then we will have a brief period where judges provide feedback to the teams in separate rooms while we tabulate the results. Judges should plan to arrive between 6 pm and 6:15 pm; we will provide food and soft drinks during registration. The winners will be announced at 9:05 pm. We will provide detailed judging instructions and judging criteria at the event. Deadline for judge registration, Friday - January 17th.
