Learn the basics of laser cutting--versatile advanced manufacturing technique used in both prototyping and final development phases. In this Intro-level Fabrication Workshop, students will learn how to create files for laser cutting using free, open source software and then watch as some of these designs are made on the laser cutter. Students will also be shown examples from manufacturing processes similar to laser cutters. This class requires a laptop and a wireless connection. A wireless mouse is strongly recommended. No previous experience necessary. Registration will open on Monday, November 4th at 10:00 am. Registration deadline: Noon - Friday, November 15th
