FabShops - Intro to SolidWorks
Description:
No matter what engineering project you’re working on, you’ll find that you’ll need to use some sort of 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to design, prototype, and test your design solutions. Learn the basics of SolidWorks, a 3D CAD software available throughout campus, through this hands-on workshop. This introductory workshop will cover the basic of making parts on SolidWorks and how to create assemblies. Students will have the opportunity to design their own part that they can then 3D print at the OEDK’s Maker Bar!
Preparation and Resources:
No prior experience is necessary. All software and computers will be provided.
