FabShops - Intro to Electronic Prototyping: Arduino
Description:
Come out and learn how to work with an Arduino, a popular open-source electronics prototyping framework! This introductory workshop will teach you the basics of programming an Arduino and how to apply that to your projects. We'll go over some basic programming tools and commands needed to work with Arduino, building circuits on a breadboard, an overview of available Arduinos, and even some example projects. Attendees will put their skills to the test by choosing from a variety of provided projects ranging from basic to challenging.
Preparation and Resources:
Students should bring their laptop with the following installed on it:
1. Download and install the free Arduino software on your computer: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
2. If you have a PC, download the FTDI drivers:https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/how-to-install-ftdi-drivers/windows---quick-and-easy
3. Download the SIK Guide code and store it somewhere easily accessible on your computer: sparkfun.com/sikcode
