FabShops - Intro to Electronic Prototyping: Arduino
Description:
Learn the basics of programming an Arduino - a popular open-source electronics prototyping platform. In this intro-level workshop, attendees will be taught how to build simple circuits on breadboards and use an Arduino to gather data from the environment and send output controls to the boards. Then attendees will put their skills to the test by choosing from a variety of provided projects ranging from basic to challenging.
Preparation and Resources:
Students should bring their laptop with the following installed on it:
1. Download and install the free Arduino software on your computer: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
2. If you have a PC, download the FTDI drivers: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/how-to-install-ftdi-drivers/windows---quick-and-easy
3. Download the SIK Guide code and store it somewhere easily accessible on your computer: sparkfun.com/sikcode
