3D Printing – Intermediate Level
Description: This class teaches practical skills for the design of and printing of objects using 3D printing. In this class students will learn the tool-chain for 3D printing, work with polygon meshes, learn how to prepare a file for 3D printing and what constitutes a “good” .stl file. Through hands-on exercises students will produce files ready for 3D printing and be able to properly select a material and process. Students will come away from this workshop understanding how this technology can foster creativity and provide fresh inspiration for their design projects or everyday life.
Preparation and Resources: This class requires a laptop and a wireless connection. A wireless mouse is strongly recommended. Students must have attended the Intro-Level 3D Printing workshop.
