This class teaches more advanced skills for the design of and creation of objects using the laser cutter. In this class students will learn to build on basic laser cutting techniques of cut and etch to produce highly detailed prototypes for their projects. Through hands-on exercises students will produce files ready for laser cutting and be able to properly select a material. Students will come away from this workshop understanding advanced laser cutting techniques, how a laser cutter may be used for medium fidelity prototyping, and how to create complex 3D objects with the laser cutter.
This class requires a laptop and a wireless connection. A wireless mouse is strongly recommended. Students must have attended the Intro-Level Laser Cutting Workshop.
