Project Title
Space Junk Deorbiting Satellite
Design Challenge
Space junk has become a significant space hazard in Earth orbit, affecting astronomy, damage to satellites/space launches, and damage to astronauts in space. There are no commercial viable solutions currently on the market to deorbit debris. Companies are working on projects with various degrees of technology maturity, but this team fills a void of projects working on space debris greater than 10 cm in diameter.
