Design Challenge
Groundwater in underground aquifers has been known to get contaminated with anthropogenic chemicals which cannot be filtered using current methods. Our team is tasked with developing a groundwater cleanup device using Colloidal Gas Aphrons (CGAs), a new water treatment method that could prove effective against these pollutants. The goal is to develop a functioning prototype that can effectively filter out a dye, serving as a proxy to the pollutants, and later develop a plan for a full-scale water treatment facility.
